Even though neither the Playback Devices nor the Mixer recognize the World Instrument samples, if I click on an instrument's name in the ARIA Player, I get the following choices: empty, import, reload, GPO, World Instruments, JABB. However, if I click the box in Mixer with the gear-like picture I can open the ARIA Player from Sibelius, as seen on the bottom right in the screenshot I've attached. Thus, Sibelius does not seem to be recognizing the World Instrument library I installed, and I am therefore unable to access or utilize my World Instrument samples from Sibelius. Additionally, on the Mixer in Sibelius 6.2, when I click on the arrow by the box that, for example, says "Bass Flute Plr1," my options for libraries to select a virtual instrument from include: (Auto), Aria, Essentials (this is the Sibelius Player), Garritan JABB 3.0, and Garritan Personal Orchestra 4.0. I'm not really quite sure what the Aria option is, but I investigated it and found it only to consist of a few Strings samples. As you can see, World Instruments is not available as an option.

However, when I click on the Sound Set for ARIA Player or ARIA Player (Multi) (hereafter referred to collectively as ARIA Player), the only options I have to choose from are: (none) and Garritan Personal Orchestra 4.0 (after installing the JABB3 and GPO4 fixes on Sibelius' website, "Aria" and "Garritan JABB 3.0" also appear as options). I selected Sibelius Player, ARIA Player, and ARIA Player (Multi) and activated them-as such, they are now listed as Active Devices. The Available Devices listed were: Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth, Sibelius Player, ARIA Player (Multi), ARIA Player, and GM-Module. After opening a song, I opened the Playback Devices window and created a new configuration. I then opened Sibelius, clicked "Re-Scan" in the Audio Engine Options after making sure it was scanning the folder "VSTPlugins," and restarted Sibelius. The VST plug-ins were saved in the default folder provided by the installer, "vstplugins." Following the steps outlined by Garritan and Sibelius, after installing all three libraries I then went to the "vstplugins" folder, copied the files "ARIA Player VST_x86.dll" and "ARIA Player Multi VST_x86.dll," and pasted them into the folder "VSTPlugins" created by Sibelius when it was installed (this is the folder that Sibelius scans for virtual instruments). I did the exact same for JABB3 and World Instruments. When I installed GPO4 I installed the standalone player as well as the VST plug-ins.
#GARRITAN ORCHESTRA LIBRARY HOW TO#
I've included a screenshot with this post that shows the problem.īoth Garritan's website and Sibelius' website clearly lay out steps for how to get Sibelius 6 to recognize Garritan samples. I had the exact same problem with the Jazz and Big Band 3 library however, after installing the JABB3 fix on Sibelius' website it is working fine (no such fix exists for World Instruments). My problem is that Sibelius 6.2 does not recognize the World Instruments VST library.

My Aria Player and Engine are up-to-date at Version 1.111, and though my computer is 64-bit I use the x86 (is that 86-bit?) version with Sibelius.

I am aware that Sibelius doesn't currently officially support Sibelius 6 on 64-bit Vista, but in the case that this is an issue un-related to whether it is 32-bit or 64-bit I'll see if I can get help anyway.

#GARRITAN ORCHESTRA LIBRARY WINDOWS#
The operating system I am using is Windows Vista 64-bit. I am using Sibelius 6.2 and the Garritan libraries Personal Orchestra 4, Jazz and Big Band 3, and World Instruments.
